Doris has been a long time resident and home owner of Syosset.  She was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Manhattan in junior high school.  All three of her children were born in Syosset and were top students at Syosset High School. They have all graduated from prestigious colleges.

To bring in her organizational skills, she served at her home church, Covenant Church in Whitestone Queens, as an Administrative Assistant for 9 years.  Doris is a devoted Chinese school instructor and administrator since 1990, she was an instructor at a children's summer music program for many years, she coordinates and participates elderly visitations, and volunteers at a local thrift shop and food pantry for needy families in Oyster Bay--North Shore Community Church.

Personal Interests

Besides being an avid cook, she coordinates a weekly lunch program for the Covenant Church in Whitestone Queens(100 meals); loves to sing anything from classical and pop to oldies and country music.  She enjoys making fresh flower arrangements, calligraphy professionally or for leisure. She is also an oral and verbal Chinese/English translator.
